Shania playing the motherly role with our new puppy Minimop. She was such a loving caring baby girl. My little poodle, Shania was always a heartbeat at my feet, filling an emptiness I didn't know I had. I never wanted memories, I just wanted her. I guess this poem says it all:

Goodbye
With heavy hearts; and a tear in our eyes
after all these years; we must say goodbye
Please understand; we've done all we could
if there was anything we could do; you know we would
I'm sitting right here; gently rub your ears
while I talk to you softly; trying to hold back the tears

We had to say goodbye to our Lucie at the age of 16 /12. And then last year Harmony (who just turned 9) older sister Sierra who was only 11, and young for a Shih Tzu, out of the blue came down with a very very rare Autoimmune Disease that strikes like lightening, with no warning signs and hits only small breed female dogs and is deadly. She was in the hospital for a long time and then we got to bring her home, even though she was not out of the woods, but stable. We have a fantastic vet and he said our little Sierra was fighting so hard to live so as not to leave us. But 2 days short of 2 wks being home and so happy to be with us and us her, she took a turn for the worse. She was fighting so hard to not leave us that she went into heart failure and we had to say goodbye to her. My husband and I were absolutely devastated. Sierra and Lucie are in beautiful Urns here in our home. I am still not over the loss, and it has taken our little Harmony a long time to get over losing her sister. And she has never been an only "doggie". I could never have children so the three of them have always been "My Girls". We are not ready to get another Shih Tzu - just too soon, and our lil Harmony has now gotten what I call "The I love being the only doggie syndrome"!! lol She and I stick together like glue.

Max was Joey's best friend since he was a pup...and mine, he was always by my side.... not to mention filled with so much unconditional love, gosh I will miss him!

Blackie you were the best dog that we ever had and well behaved, loving, caring and fun and funny dog who was always there when we cry and made us all laugh when we needed to the most. We will never forget you our old buddy-old pal. May you Rest In Peace and God be with you!

Fat-Tony I'm sorry that you didn't get to live very long and I hope your having fun with other puppy's in dog heaven, I hope and pray that you can forgive me because I didn't know much about dog-breding and pups...God bless you, may you Rest In Peace!

In Memory of Tiny Rufus-He was my heartbeat, my life, and my love. Had him put to sleep on February 5, 2008, and the last three months have been tremendously crazy and down for me. I miss him so much! And I love him. Forgive me, Rufus!
